Short Morning Vinyasa
This month's free download is a moving mediation with rhythmic breath and repeated arcs of movement.
Backbends are a powerful force for boosting energy levels, especially when groggy in the morning; however, the morning is also a time when we tend to want to ground, rooting into the time, day of the week, and schedule we're about to inhabit. This sequence is designed with both in mind. It balances supported backbends with deep lunges during which we plant down and root through the feet.
Side note: This is my first foray into online teaching; please excuse any little editing goofs! Future videos, as well as any paid content, will likely be much more refined.
Welcome, and I hope you find something of value here.
Your Instructor
Erin is a 200-hour experienced Yoga Instructor (E-RYT) and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). She comes from a background in classical ballet, as well as an extensive academic background in cell biology. She turns to Yoga, and asana in particular, to ground herself in a moving meditation that gets her out of her head and into the body. This is the same experience she seeks to create in Yoga classes, and to some extent with patients she meets during her day job. Erin hopes you to come away from classes & continuing education experiences with a visceral sense of strength and ease, comfort and challenge.
