June Freebie: 10 Min Pre-Flow Warmup Sequence
Getting the body ready for wherever your imagination takes it today
Ever been so excited to flow that you neglected to warm up properly? This mini-class is a warm-up for feet, hips, shoulders, wrists, core, and spine, in just 10 minutes. Wind down onto your mat with gentle music, direct verbal cues, and symmetrical, repeated pose/counterpose combos before you turn up the intensity of your vinyasa practice.
I am a 200-hour RYT with a background in dance, as well as an extensive academic background in biology (B.S. from Boston College) including coursework in human physiology. I turn to yoga, and asana in particular, to ground myself in a moving meditation that gets me out of my head and into my body. This is the same experience I seek to create in my classes, along with a visceral sense of strength and ease, comfort and challenge.
